Dear Camp
Participants!!
Assalam- o-alaikum!
My name is Ghulam Muhammad Awan and I am Secretary General of Pakistan Red
Crescent Society. It is very satisfying and heartwarming for me to engage with
young volunteers of PRCS on the occasion of PRCS National Youth Camp 2015. The
theme of this year’s Camp is Young, Global, and Active. We, at PRCS, are
committed to invest in developing the capacities of young humanitarians
who have faith and commitment to selflessly serve the humanity.
In the
aftermath of recent disasters that hit different parts of Pakistan, the
dedicated volunteers of PRCS have reached out to the affected communities to
help them in hostile and dangerous conditions, showing resilience, commitment,
solidarity and a vision to stand tall and put collective good before their
lives and wellbeing. You make us all proud.
It is our
endeavor to equip you with the tools to combat challenges in the most effective
manner. We have designed this camp to provide you with maximum knowledge in an
interactive environment. The Camp shall be focusing on being Together for
Humanity, respect for diversity, youth empowerment, enabling environment for
youth and change comes from within. We also aim to promote harmony by exposing
you to different cultures and lifestyles.
I wish you
all, Good Luck!

“National Youth & Volunteer Camp to me is not only to provide our youth with a platform to identify problems and make decisions in resolving these issues, but also to empower them with the tools that will enable them to make educated choices and decisions. The youth of today is the future of tomorrow is contradictory to me, because they are our PRESENT NOT FUTURE. We need to invest in them today, and to engage them. Our younger generation has the power and all they need is for us to channelize it.
