“National Youth & Volunteer Camp to me is not only to provide our youth with a platform to identify problems and make decisions in resolving these issues, but also to empower them with the tools that will enable them to make educated choices and decisions. The youth of today is the future of tomorrow is contradictory to me, because they are our PRESENT NOT FUTURE. We need to invest in them today, and to engage them. Our younger generation has the power and all they need is for us to channelize it.

On that note I welcome you to the camp with a hope that you will make the most of it. Happy camping!”

Introduction to the Camp:

The national youth and volunteer camp is an annual event that brings together young volunteers within the age group of 17-29 years from all the provinces and regions across Pakistan. The aim of the camp is to gather these young people to develop their humanitarian capacities through sharing experiences, exchange ideas and opinions, and discuss cultural perspectives. The theme of the Camp is “Young, Global, Active”. We aim to inculcate leadership qualities in our youth to enable them to become agents of change in their respective communities and flourish as individuals and as flag bearers of the RCRC Movement. Thus, this year we have incorporated workshop sessions covering wide areas of working in disasters to leadership. Apart from rigorous training the entertainment needs of the participants are also well catered for. On that note we welcome you to the camp with a hope that you will make the most of it. Happy camping!

Individual Assignments Alert

Dear participants of the National Youth & Volunteer Camp!! Please be informed that during the Camp each participant will represent a district (other than their district of residence). Participants have been assigned at random. Please refer to the email sent to you today with roles and assigned districts. There are some individual assignments (related to assigned districts) that each participant has to submit to the Camp Secretariat by 10th April, 2015. Regards, Dawar Adnan Shams
